CURRENT SERMON SERIES

2nd Corinthiansorinthians

2nd Corinthians, a letter written to the early church in Corinth, Greece, is not as well known or read as is the prior letter. But it is written to God’s people in a culture that would be quite comfortable to 21st century Americans. If the letter were instead called, “2nd Floridians,” we could immediately recognize themes and issues that are of up-to-the-minute relevance, and would sound as if they were written for the church of Jesus Christ today. They were! For God’s Word continues to speak to His church, and into the world, today! The nature of the Gospel, and of what authentic Christian life looks like, is addressed throughout the book. The study picks up with chapter 6 and will continue through May. We invite you to read ahead, and then join us for worship as God speaks to us from His Word.

GriefShare logo

The Spring 2012 GriefShare series will begin Sunday, March 4th, in the church library from 9-10:30 AM. This 13 week series covers all aspects of the journey of grief which are experienced when we lose a loved one. During the time in class, we watch a 35 minute video presented by professionals, followed by our own discussion. As part of the class we work through a workbook that helps us chart our own progress.

Many people have found this program to be extremely helpful in understanding the grief process. Please share this information with others in the community who could benefit from these classes.
For more information and to register for this class please call Mary Rucker. Her church office number is 699 -0132.
